Sledding!!

We took Dylan sledding over the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Shaver's house!! We had so much fun!! Dylan may not look like he is enjoying himself, but trust me, he his!! He laughed so hard the whole time!! However, I am not sure what he found more fun, going down the hill or watching as we pulled him up the hill!! His sled is very cool too, just his size and it has a seat belt, which we need with daddy and grandpa pulling him!!

I am not sure Dylan will fit in this sled next year, but it is the perfect size right now!

Winter Fun

Last night we finally went out a picked out a Christmas tree!! It was very cold and they were snowy!! We had been putting it off because we didn't know how Dylan would handle it! He liked helping Daddy with the tree stand and I think they got it pretty straight!! He also loved the lights and he was dragging them all over the room. We put up a few ornaments then I finished when he went to bed! He of course called all of the ornaments balls and this morning took a few off and brought them to us! I may have to put them a little higher up!

Dylan's first time playing in the snow!! We had so much fun and he loved it! Seth kept making him snowballs to play with!! He would throw them down and then try and pick them back up! He had on so many layers that if he fell down he wasn't able to get back up! I cannot wait for the next big snowfall so we can play again!!

Seth finished up the Christmas lights Sunday night. After Dylan had his bath we went out to take a look. There are lights on the house but they blink so it was hard to get a picture when they were on!

Dylan and I made some Christmas cookies Saturday night. He did pretty good frosting them and he loved putting sprinkles on them. He also took a cookie and dipped it in the frosting!!

Here is one of Dylan and Toby!! They love each other so much and every once in a while they give each other kisses!!!

Our Thanksgiving Weekend!

We had a great Thanksgiving!! On Thursday we went to my sister's house and celebrated with my side of the family and on Friday we celebrated with Seth's family!

On Thursday evening we had some family over to just hang out and play games. We didn't get around to the games, but we did have a lot of fun!! Here are Dylan's 2 prettiest cousins, Courtney and Whitney!!

This is one of those pictures I can use to embarrass Dylan with down the road! Grandma likes to but him these pajamas with hats!! He looks like one of Santa's elves!! We decorated for Christmas Sunday and Dylan loves the singing snowmen Seth gets me every year! We are going to need a lot of batteries and Tylenol this Christmas--because Dylan plays them non-stop!!

Our Weekend!

Dylan loves the leaves!! He thinks it is pretty funny when he plays in them. He laughs so hard when Seth picks him up and he can touch the leaves in the trees!

Ummm, please excuse me while I do some business! We take Dylan upstairs and this time he beat us up and climbed on the chair and acted like he needed to do some work!

Seth started with the Christmas lights last night while it was still nice out. Dylan and I went our to supervise!

Dylan also decided to mow the lawn, we need to rake more than mow I think!! Maybe he can help with that too!

Dylan loves being outside!! We went out the other day and it was a little chilly so he had to wear his new hat!! When we go out he has to take a lot of toys from inside!! Here he is playing with his dump truck. Part of the time he was more interested in pulling it, I guess it was out of gas!

Here he is riding it through the grass. It was tough but he did it!


Here he wants to go out back and play with Toby, which he calls his baby! We go back there and he just laughs at Toby and tries following him and picking up his toys!

Warning: Bad Parent moment ahead!! Seth was eating Doritos the other night and Dylan saw this so he decided he wanted a few! I thought it was so funny when he stuck his hand in there and he also had is head in there looking for a cheesy one I guess!! He got 1 but that is all, I promise!!!

Garth Brooks Concert

BEST CONCERT EVER!!!!!!!!!!! My mom, sister, Seth and I went to the Garth Brooks concert Monday night at the new Sprint Center in KC! It was amazing!! We have all said that if we could go to any concert it would be his--I honestly didn't thing I would ever get to go-and I did!! We had great seats and had a blast!! He put on one heck of a show!! I hope I can see him again sometime! But, now that we have seen him we talked about the next person we would want to see in concert, and I know I am a dork, but I said Reba or The Judds!! I guess I am a sucker for classic country, plus when I was young I swore my mom and I were going to be the next Mother Daughter singing sensation!!!

I know these aren't great pictures, it was hard to get close ups!! He never stood still, he was always running around singing all of his fabulous hits!! Of course, we were all singing them too! I thing Garth could have just sat there and the crowd could have done all of the vocals!

Here is a picture of the stage before he came on! The place was packed, I think the only 2 empty seats were next to my mom!! We told her it was because Garth Brooks was going to come sit next to her and sing!

Trick or Treat

I will start with my nephew and cousin--they wanted to dress up as cheerleaders for Halloween-so they wore my cheerleading outfits from when I was in Elementary school!! They made very pretty little girls!

Here is the cutest little guy though!! He was a giraffe and really did like his costume!! We had a lot of fun trick or treating! We went to Seth's parents with all of Dylan's cousins and went around their neighborhood! Dylan was a trooper-he walked and went up to every house and got lots of candy-which is now in my treasure box at school!! We also went to my aunt and uncle's house so they could see him!! For being out so late Dylan was very good!! He was sleepy and went right to bed when we got home!
Aunt Ashley and Uncle Brad came over before we left to give Dylan some goodies!! He sure does love his aunt and uncle!

Here we all are with our pumpkins that we carved! I can't wait until Dylan can help design the pumpkins and Seth can carve them out!! I always loved doing that when I was little--and Seth is a perfectionist like my dad was with the pumpkins so I know they will always turn out great!

Dylan had a spooktacular Halloween Bash on Saturday with his cousins!! They painted and carved pumpkins!! Here is Dylan in action!

Dylan's masterpiece!! Everyone had a lot of fun, but Dylan was sleepy and ready to go to bed!! He said goodnight to everyone in his glow in the dark skeleton pajamas!

Fall Fun!

We went to the pumpkin patch Sunday afternoon! It was chilly but a lot of fun! They had wagons to put the pumpkins in, but Dylan decided to ride in it instead! He also liked to push the wagon and throw little rocks in it--he learned that from his Grandpa Shaver!

They had big hay stacks for the kids to play in--he didn't like it too much-it was very hard to walk in.

Hey mom, I think I see a bigger one I want over there!!

He liked being around all the pumpkins--he either found other things to pick up-like leaves or rocks-or tried to lift BIG pumpkins!!

Dylan's Blankie

For those of you that have never seen Dylan's bklankie--here it is! Whenever he is sleppy or just waking up he likes to curl up with it! Every morning he gets his blankie, juice and sits on teh couch for about 15 minutes!!! A few weeks ago he spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa Shaver and the next day the blankie got left at their house!! About 7:30 that night my mom and I were meeting in Lawrence so I could get the blanket and Dylan could sleep!! We will never forget it again!

Cool new Shades!

Here is a recent picture of Dylan--in his new sunglasses! He hates having the sun in his eyes--so I did what any great mom would do--I went out and bought him some sunglasses! I am not sure I picked out the best fitting ones though! I had to have them and they were on sale, so what the heck I thought! Just so you know, I did buy 2 pairs and the other ones fit him much better!
