Saylor Girl

My Saylor Girl keeps us on our toes.
She is sassy.
She is full of life.
She has a mind of her own.
When she wants to wear purple boots and hat to draw with chalk, she does.
She is so stinkin` happy.
She makes our house so happy.
Dylan was always (and still is) a happy boy.
I love having happy kids!

But she is not as laid back as Dylan.
Not as go with the flow as Dylan.
She is going to be trouble.
She is going to be our wild child.

I love that Dylan and Saylor love each other to pieces.

But I also love that they are so different.

It makes life so much fun.

This summer is going to be so much fun with this little lady.

I can't wait!

So thankful for this little blessing.

Pretty Posie Creations

As some of you know my sister and I have ventured into the hand-made world!! We love creating new and fun products behind our sewing machines!
Lately we have been busy making some custom baby gifts and birthday shirts!
These sweet onesies are for twin girls! What babies wouldn't look adorable in these! And an airplane onesie, prefect for any little guy! I sure wish I would have known how to sew when Dylan was a baby!

We have also been making a lot of sunnies cases and coin purses! They have been popular teacher gifts. I know lots of teachers that would love this from a special student!

And one of my favorites!! Custom baby gift! Matching set..blanket, burp cloth, onesie, and diaper/wipe case!!

Graduate!

My beautiful cousin graduated from K-State today!
I am so proud of her.
She's worked hard the past 4 years.
She's had fun at the "ville".
And I know she's made some amazing memories!
Some of my best memories are from my 4 years at K-State and they are times I will never forget! I know she feels the same about her 4 years.
I am proud of you Court! I am proud to call you my cousin and I am proud of the young lady you have become. I just can't believe the little girl I used to push around in a stroller at the mall or teach school to in the basement is a college grad! Time flies when you are having fun, and we have had some fun in our times together!! Enjoy this next chapter in your life. It to is an amazing journey!! I love you!

bike riding!

Dylan has always loved riding his bike. He started riding his tricycle when he was about 18 months old and got his first real bike at 2. It always came easy to him and he's always enjoyed it!
Last fall Dylan decided to try without training wheels. It didn't go so well and we out them back on right away. A couple weeks ago Dylan said he was ready to try again. We took them off and according to daddy they are staying off! We went to my school so we could ride in the parking lot then play on the playground. Little sister waiting patiently to go play! Isn't she the prettiest little girl! I sure think so!

And it's time to start! Honestly, Dylan didn't do very well! He was scared to fall and it took some convincing to get on and try again. As soon as Seth let go he stopped pedaling and would fall down.

We decided to try in the big field thinking if he fell it wouldn't hurt as much. That went a little better, but still not very well! We soon gave up and resorted to playing!

He liked this much more! He loves playing and this is a great playground.

Saylor also got to try out her new walking skills in her pretty sailor outfit!

Good news is, we tried again on Mother's Day and he did much better. Was a lot more confident and wasn't scared to fall! Still stopped pedaling, but he is making progress!!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mama's out there, but especially to mine!!
Thanks for being my best friend.
The one I call, email, and text daily.
The one that encourages me.
Listens to me.
Laughs with me.
I could hang out with you all day and do nothing...but still enjoy it.
You have been an unbelievable role model for me, and everyday I strive to be more like you.
I love you mom and thanks for putting up with me for the past (almost) 31 years.

Just Fishin`

Are you a country music fan?
Have you heard Trace Adkin's new song, Just Fishin`?
Every time I hear I think of Saylor and Seth.
I can just see the two of them in a couple years fishin` together.
Saylor will be just like her momma and get bored with it.
She'll have a thousand things to say.
She will have to get up and walk around.
But they will both love every minute of their time together.
That makes me smile.
It makes me so happy to know Seth and Saylor will have the same relationship that my dad and I always have.
I always said that I wanted a little girl so I could share with her the same bond that I have with my own mom.
But I am just as excited to see the bond she'll have with her daddy.





I love being the momma to a sweet little boy and a sassy little lady.
I love that Seth and I will always crave to spend special alone time with each of our children.
I love the time we spend as a family of 4.
I love the time Seth and I spend as a couple.
And, I love the time I get to spend with each of my kids.
One on one time with them rocks!

Rap

After recess today a couple of my boys said they had something for me...and what a gift it was!! They spent their recess writing and practicing a rap just for me!! I will admit, I almost cried. I love these kids and I am going to miss them like crazy next year!! I have loved having them for 2 years, but it is making it so much harder to say good-bye!
