Seth,
Thank you for 4 fabulous years of marriage. Four years ago today I got all dolled up and put on a pretty white dress and walked down the aisle. Lucky for me there was a very handsome and amazing person at the end of the aisle! That night was truly amazing...the best day ever (well 2nd to June 30, 2006!!!). Everyday since then I have fallen more and more in love with you. I truly know that we were meant for each other. I know I need you in my life to make it complete, and I am pretty sure you wouldn't survive without me (ha ha!). You make me laugh when I am down and protect me when I am scared.
I love you with all my heart and I can't wait for all the years we have ahead of us!

Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom

Day 2 in Disney World we started at Hollywood Studios. We got a later start this day--we didn't wake up until 9:15 which was great since we got up before 6 the two mornings before! We got to Hollywood Studios just in time for a Star Wars parade-that is a whole other post on another day! We then went to eat with the Playhouse Disney characters. Today was Little Einstein and Jojo's circus, Dylan doesn't know those guys, so he wasn't very into it!
After lunch we went to some other things at Hollywood Studios. Dylan's favorite was the Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area. Everything was HUGE in there!
I love this picture of Seth and Dylan! And, no that is not some sort of man purse...it is the camcorder bag. Not sure why he is carrying it that way!

Animal Kingdom was pretty cool. We went around 4:30 so it wasn't very busy. On our way to the safari we stopped to take some silly pictures. Dylan wasn't tall enough, so I was holding him sideways.

Breakfast, Magic Kingdom and Epcot
We started our first morning very early. We had breakfast reservations for 7:45 with Lilo and Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. It was at Ohana, so everything was Hawaiian themed. Dylan had no clue who Lilo and Stitch were, so he wasn't sure what to think. 
Once Mickey came out he was a little more excited, but still a little scared and had to hold on to Seth. He kept telling us that when he saw Mickey Mouse he was going to give him a big hug and kiss...well that didn't happen the first day. He did warm up to them later on though!
The last guy to come out was Pluto. He was very silly and Dylan loved it...but still had to hold on to me! The breakfast was fun, but we were ready for Magic Kingdom! We rode the monorail over there, and that was one of Dylan's favorite things. It is like a big bus in the air. He called it the backwards roller coaster!
Our first ride, the tea cups. I am not sure he knew what was about to start. I knew he would like the rides, but I wasn't sure if he would like to go round and round really fast, so I told Seth to take it easy (you have control on how much your tea cup spins).
I think this picture is proof that Dylan didn't mind the spinning. Seth acted like we were going to run into the middle pole and Dylan thought it was pretty funny. I love how Dylan laughs, especially when he is laughing because of something we are doing. There is nothing sweeter than hearing your child laugh so hard. 
After the tea cups Seth and Dylan rode on Dumbo. I decided to sit this one out and take pictures. This was also Seth's first time to Disney World, so he hadn't done any of these things before! Dylan liked Dumbo, it ended up being his favorite ride he says (of course, the longest line we waited in too!!). When Dylan and I rode this ride later in our trip he had to hold my hand because I was too scared he said!!
The carasail, or has he calls it, the Merry Go Round! My two favorite guys!!
Goofy's Roller Coaster. Again, he had to hold my hand because I was the scared one!! This was pretty fast and we were in the front. Seth and Dylan rode it on our last day again, and Dylan didn't like it that time. He said it was too fast and scary for him. He like the big roller coaster better (known to the rest of us as the monorail!).
After the roller coaster we rode the train, and while riding it Dyan fell asleep. We decided to head back to our room and take a nap. Of course the minute we got there he woke up! We stayed there for a couple hours to rest though. We were going to go back to Magic Kingdom, but our plans changed! When we went down to get on the bus the Magic Kingdom bus had just left so we decided we would go on whatever bus came next! Well, it was Epcot. I didn't even plan on going to Epcot, because there isn't that much there for Dylan. It ended up being great for 2 reasons! First of all Dylan saw this...
and if you follow my blog and know my son, you know that he LOVES to golf. So yes, he thought this was a giant golf ball!! It was funny seeing him react to it.
After we saw the big golf ball we saw a sign that said Character spotting. We got in line (in the air conditioning) and soon realized we would get to see Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy! Score!!!!!!!!! We waited about 30 minutes and Dylan got to meet all 5! It was awesome and I am so glad we hopped on that Epcot bus for that reason alone! He wouldn't go by himself for the first 3, but he did for Pluto and Goofy. He was so proud of himself for doing it all by himself!

Off we go!
What a trooper Dylan is! We woke up at 4 AM last Wednesday to go to the airport. Thankfully we stayed at my parents in KC so we were closer to the airport and they took us there! We thought Dylan would go back to sleep...but not at all!! He stayed up until 12:00 or so while we were in Atlanta waiting for our flight to Orlando. But, that didn't last long, he woke up right when we got on the plane. We all took a nap once we got to Orlando though!!
Dylan was ready for Mickey! He had on a Mickey shirt, had his Mickey, and box of Mickey books!! He was so stinkin' cute walking through the airport will all of his belongings! Everyone knew where he was headed!
I will admit, as we were landing in Orlando and Dylan looked up at me and said, "we are going to see Mickey now" just about brought tears to my eyes. He was so excited about this trip and meeting Mickey and riding on an airplane!
Coming up in the next post...our first day at the Magic Kingdom!! And I will leave you with this...
There were A LOT of things I saw on our trip and out of those I decided to make a list...
Things I won't be doing on my next family vacation to Disney World...
1. Have Seth and I wear matching outfits and our kids were matching outfits...no thanks!
2. Make shirts that say "Packard Family Vacation" or something like it with names for everyone.
3. If I ever have a daughter, she will not walk around Disney World in a full Disney Princess Gown with tons of make-up and a fancy up-do.
4. Leave me 5 year old, non-English speaking child on the Dumbo ride.
5. Get mad at the Disney crew for the lines being long...Hello, this is Disney World, what do you expect!
6. Do 3 character meals...at $30+ a person, they are a little pricey!!! But this time,
oh so worth it!!!
7. Get a free wheel chair for my 3 kids to sit in so I don't have to pay for a stroller or get a wheel chair so my teenager can ride in because he is too lazy to walk...I could go on and on about this one. It really made me mad seeing all the people that DID NOT need wheelchairs, but were too lazy/cheap to walk or rent a stroller.
8. Wear a short, low cut, white dress to the parks all day.
9. Wear high heel shoes to the parks all day--just dumb in my opinion!! My sister thought I was crazy for wearing flip flops and not tennis shoes, but I love my flip flops and they were so comfy all day long!!!
10. Wear long pants and a long sleeved shirt to the parks all day (unless it was cold enough of course!!).

Do it your self photo shoot!!
Last night as I was trying to fall asleep (I have a terrible time falling asleep when Seth is gone, I lay there and just toss and turn, and think of random things!!) I decided that Dylan and I would do a mini do it yourself photo shoot! The past two summers Ken has done Dylan's pictures, and they are AMAZING! I told Ken that this year I don't want the flowery, pretty scene that I have asked for the last 2 years. Ken is OK with that thank goodness! Now, I need to decided when I want him to do Dylan's pictures. I am restless though (and BORED) so Dylan and I went to a park here in town. This is one of my favorite field trip locations with my students. It is like an old town. It has a mansion, one room school house, log cabin...
I KNOW these pictures are not professional, and I KNOW when we have Ken do them they will look a million times better, but I was pretty proud of myself and my little point and shoot camera!!
These first few tell a story! Enjoy, there are a lot, but my almost 3 year old is so darn cute!!

This is the log cabin. When I have taken my class to this park in the past we get a guided tour and they get to go in all the buildings. We just had to look through the windows today!

Everyone needs someone to look up to...
Dylan LOVES his daddy.
Seth had a nice spiky/almost mullet hair do! He was a pretty cute kid, and quite the ladies man I have been told! After Dylan's shows were over (yes, he lays in our bed before bed and watches Noggin for a while!!) he went to his bed and took the picture with him. The picture was next to his pillow all night long!
He thinks he is pretty cool.
He knows that his daddy is good at sports.
He had no idea that he was this cool though...
Yesterday, at Seth's grandma's funeral, Seth's mom brought this picture of Seth from his elementary school days and YMCA basketball days! Dylan saw it and realized it was his daddy and hasn't parted with it since!
This is how he was in bed last night! Yes, that is the picture in his hand.
