Friday Dylan and I filled Easter Eggs with Jelly Beans then hid them upstairs for Seth to find!! Dylan did good hiding them and only found one for Seth! While we were filling the eggs Dylan would put a few in jelly beans in the eggs and eat a few!! He sure likes jelly beans! Here he is trying to pour them, it didn't work so well!
He did much better this way!
We also painted Easter cards for everyone and decorated them with stickers! He likes painting but doesn't like to get paint on himself, he was very careful!

Dylan got another haircut Tuesday at a place just for kids! They had all kinds of cars to sit in (Dylan chose a Hummer!) and a TV at every station for the kids to watch! He really got a big boys haircut and he doesn't look the same!!

Spring Break!! Dylan and I have enjoyeed our week together! We have gone to the park (our favorite place to visit) and to the zoo. It has been such a great week and the weather has been wonderful!



Here we are at the zoo with some friends! Two girls I work with have boys as well so we took them to the zoo Wednesday.

Decorating Easter cookies-he went a little overboard with the sprinkles!


Guess Who wrote on the board?? Daddy did one, mommy did one, and Dylan did one-can you guess who did what???

The past couple of nights we went to the park. We have really been enjoying the beautiful weather! Tuesday night Dylan and daddy played outside while I was stuck in the house making dinner. It was fun to look out the kitchen window and watch them play though! After dinner we went to the park. Dylan went down all the slides by himself and then tried to climb back up the slides!

Wednesday night we had our weekly dinner with my sister and her husband. After dinner we all went to another park by their house. It was fun but the slides were a little big for Dylan! This was something that he could sit on and it would spin. It made me sick watching!! He enjoyed it but when he got off he fell down, I guess he was dizzy!
This is a slide Dylan and daddy were going to go down together but once they got up Seth realized he was too tall to go down sitting up. Dylan really wanted to go down so Seth sent him down and I waited on the bottom, I was very nervous! Well Dylan stopped half way down and got scared so Seth had to go down head first to push him down the rest of the way. It was pretty funny, but I was a little scared.

The Past Couple of Weeks!

Our newest adventure...Dylan is driving!! He got a new tricycle over the weekend so we had to try it out Sunday afternoon. He LOVES the horn and it distracts him from paying attention to the road--when he turns 16 and really drives we will make sure he doesn't have a cool Thomas horn to distract him!

We also had to try out all of our modes of transportation! Here he is in his wagon. We had this last year but didn't ride in it too much, hopefully this year he will sit down in it and not try to stand and escape!
And his convertible!! I think we can take the floor out of this one so he can go on his own--kind of like the Flinstones!

And last, but not least, his worm! He does ride this one, but he was pushing it this time. I am not sure why! Our garage looks like a car lot for kids!! We need to get his dump truck out there too--but he likes to play with that one in the house!!

And the last one of Dylan--we went to the zoo last weekend. He loved it--he knows so many of the animals now. When we were looking at the Hippos he was yelling Hippo, it was like he was informing everyone that the big animal they were looking at was a hippo (I guess in case they didn't already know!!). He also told all of the animals bye when we left their exhibits!

I cannot believe my baby boy isn't a baby anymore! He is growing up sooo fast.

He is catching on to so many things. He can say most of his colors, but he doesn't really know what they are. I think he is confused because now his ball is a green ball or his car is a red car?? We are trying. He also said Aunt Ashley and Uncle Brad-hard to understand but we all get it! He can say Wildcat, and I have to admit he knows a bad word...JAYHAWK!!! He points to all Jayhawks and says yahawk!! Not too cute if you ask me!! At the store yesterday a lady was in our way so he told her to "GO" I was a little embarrassed and apologized--she thought it was great!! We need to work on manners I guess!! So much more, but I do need to get back to work (no students today and only 4 days until SPRING BREAK)!

One last one, we went to Dave and Busters with some friends Saturday night, here is Seth playing a hunting game with his manly powder blue gun, I guess it is better than a pink one!! They look so serious!

Wishing for Spring!

So Cute! Dylan brought home a play cash register Friday that has its very own credit card. Man that boy knows how to swipe the credit card--I guess that means he hangs out with mommy and grandma too much!!

We want spring to be here soooo bad! Sunday we decided to go to the park since it was pretty nice out. I didn't think about it too much though--it was muddy and we couldn't go down the slides-they were all too wet :(

We went on the swings instead and played some basketball!
Daddy and Dylan shot some hoops while mommy sat back and watched! Dylan loved being outside with his favorite thing in the world--a ball!! That is all that boy thinks about!
The basket was a little high, so daddy had to help Dylan out-but he tried on his own-he couldn't figure out how to get the ball up there though!

Once we got home we had to get out his own basketball goal that has been in storage. The boys have been playing all night long. I think I am going to have to start the rule, no throwing balls in the house--more so for daddy than Dylan!

SORRY!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry it has been almost a month since a blog update!! It has been quite a month!! Hopefully this long update with very cute pictures will make up for it! Enjoy!!

To start--I cannot belive Dylan is getting so big-he is learning new things everyday-it is just amazing!! I am ready for this winter weather to be done with so we can go outside and play.

Today I was lucky enough to have the day off to spend with my little guy. We spent some of our day writing on mommy's notebook--which she was supposed to be writing in for work!

Another amazing thing about Dylan...he is so tall that he can reach the kitchen cabinet and eat Cheerios! I just can't believe it!

Ok, Ok, he was standing on something-but he is still pretty tall! We boxed up some of his old toys and we were waiting for daddy to take it down to the basement!
Dylan got a new animal video and was enjoying it today. He was pretty comfy on his chair!
Mom, will you please leave me alone and get that thing out of my face, I am trying to learn about these animals!

And one of Dylan helping me dust! Grandma Shaver taught him this-he loves to clean anything! He will dust, sweep, vacuum...He will make some lady very happy someday!

Too Cute To Not Share!!

Dylan is coloring a picture for Grandma and Grandpa Shaver! He enjoys coloring but that day he also enjoyed dropping the crayons and getting down to pick them up then doing it over and over again! Then on Sunday Uncle Brad brought Dylan lots of paper and new crayons so he drew him a picture and one for Aunt Ashley.

The Hat--Seth has about 10 hats but this is the only one Dylan likes for him to wear. If Seth has on a different hat Dylan will take it off and go get him this one. It is pretty funny!! I will have to teach Dylan to take daddy a purple hat next!!!

My little Ducky!! Dylan loves baths more than anything in the world. That is one word that we have to spell in our house. If we say the word bath Dylan runs to get his towel and then we pretty much have to give him one!! Here he is right after a bath--he looks like such a big boy!
Dylan was trying to fit Elmo (or Melemo as Dylan says) on his truck so he could give him a ride. He was squeezing his eyes pretty hard--maybe Dylan should try turning him around next time! Later in the evening Dylan was moving his truck closer to the trunk behind him so he could stand on the truck and get on the trunk!! What a clever little guy!

Dylan loves M&Ms!! I gave him a few and this is where is hid them!! I guess he didn't want Toby to find them. It's not like they lasted too long in there--he eats them pretty fast!!

The last one for the evening--Dylan brushing his teeth! Another favorite past time at our house!
