Yep...he's going to be a Big Brother!!

That's right...I'm pregnant!! We are due March 3!! We are so excited in the Packard household. Dylan is very curious...the other night he was worried that it was too dark in there for the baby. I told him the baby got light through my belly button!! He felt better about that!! When we talked about where the baby would sleep, he thought his Thomas the Train tent would be a good place!! Hey, at least he is willing to share his things with the baby!!

Sunday Dylan, Seth, my dad, and brother-in-law went to the Royals game. Looks like they had a blast.

you're gonna go to jail...

Dylan had to talk to my dad the other day. I really only know what Dylan said since I didn't have it on speaker!! Here is how it went...

grandpa if you don't stop at stop signs you are going to go to jail.

I think there was some more but Seth and I were too busy laughing to remember it all!!! I can assure you that my dad stops at stop signs, maybe not a complete stop all the time, but he does stop!! I am not sure where Dylan gets all of this from but he was VERY concerned and really needed to give grandpa this little bit of information.

I seriously need to carry a tape recorder around to remember everything that comes out of Dylan's mouth...it is all so funny!!

It's official....

First of all, sorry it's been so long. All of you teachers out there know how stressful the beginning of the year is, add on a new grade, a 3 year old, and a husband that has worked out of town every week for a month or so...well, that leaves no time or energy for blogging!!

Well, my baby boy is not a baby anymore. He is a big boy, and he is in school!! He started preschool today. It is actually the preschool that is at my school, so it works out so well!! He comes with me in the morning then grandma picks him up at 11:30.
I was so nervous today. I was nervous for him. It makes me sad to think that he will want me and I'm not there. Well, I don't know what I was nervous about. He walked right in the classroom and went right to the kitchen. He didn't even think twice about it.

Before school started I had to take a few pictures. This is in my classroom. I left my camera at school, so I wasn't able to take one at home!One of the other teachers took a few pictures of Dylan and I outside of his new classroom. I think he was ready to just go in and play.
Yep, he was ready to play. He didn't even take his backpack off. Went right to the kitchen, that's my boy!After he took his backpack off he went back to cooking!! I kissed him bye and left, he was so ready to be there!! I am so happy for that!! While my kids were on their way to PE I peeked in and he was just playing and looking around. One of the paras was in the hall and said he was doing great!! I also talked to the principal and she said she had gone in there and Dylan was just taking it all in!!

I can't believe how fast the past 3 years have gone. Three years ago I was having a hard time leaving my 6 week old while I went back to work. Now I am taking him to work with me, and he's going to preschool. It is amazing how fast it goes.

Hello 7th year of teaching.

Creative Play Program

Dylan's 2 weeks at Creative Play is over. It was an awesome 2 weeks. The first 3 days were rough, but after that he LOVED it. He asked to go on the weekends, at night, and wanted to go first thing in the morning!

I noticed in the 2 weeks that he was there he opened up a lot. He has always been on the shy side, and still is, but not as much! He talks to more people, especially adults! Most of the time he wouldn't really respond to an adult when they asked him something, but he does now! I think if given the chance he would talk their ear off (not sure where he gets that from??!!).

This is just what I wanted out of these 2 weeks! My baby grew up a little and survived "school". Now in another 2 weeks he will be starting his real preschool. We always go look at his classroom when we go into my school (I guess it's OUR school now!). He even took his new backpack when we went in the other day!

Anyway...back to the reason for the post...on the last day of Creative Play they put on a program! They sing all the songs they learned during their 2 weeks at school! I wasn't sure how Dylan would do. I thought he would see his grandparents, aunt and uncle, and cousins and just come running for all of them. He didn't. He stayed put and sang EVERY SINGLE SONG!! He did the hand motions and all! I was so proud. I loved seeing my boy up there singing and following the directions of his teacher.

Mr. Fix-it Man

The other morning Dylan went to brush his teeth, and his tooth brush wouldn't turn on. Well, what does any 3 year old do when something is broken..

he gets his tool box and tools to fix it!
