Painting

Saturday night Dylan wanted to paint, so that is just what we did!! I got out his finger paints and watercolors. This time I decided to put each color of finger paint in a cupcake liner. The
clean-up was so quick and easy and it kept all of his colors separate! I also gave him some of my old make-up sponges to use for painting. He uses them when he uses his glitter pens. On my list for WalMart today is sponges so he can use those...we can even cu them in shapes!
Dylan loves painting and being creative. We don't do it often enough. I feel like a bad mommy for not getting his paints out more and seeing how much he likes it, I should really do it more often!

Not only did he use sponges, he also used plastic forks. He did something like this in school so I thought I would try it at home...didn't work so well but he still liked it!! Don't worry, I promise he also used his fingers to finger paint! I just wanted to give him some more options!

WE now have about 10 pictures on our kitchen table and chairs drying. Each time he would finish one he would tell me who it was for! This one is my favorite, only because of his explanation of it..."This one is ketchup and mustard talking. They are grown-ups, that's why they are so big." So creative!!! I just love this little man so much. He has been my one and only baby for 3 1/2 years and it really scares me to think that he won't be my one and only baby in 2 1/2 weeks. I KNOW I will continue to love Dylan more and more each day and that I will love Saylor just as much, but it is hard to understand how that will happen. Before I had Dylan I never knew how much I would love him. How much I would love being a mommy to a boy. How much I would love painting, shopping, reading, playing, cuddling...with him. Now it amazes me that I will have more love to pour out to a daughter. I can't wait to meet my daughter and be amazed at the love we all have for her!

It was hard to understand how that love for your 2nd would just happen, when you love your first so much. But it DOES happen - FAST, if not immediate! Your heart instantly grows room enough to love 2 of them! It's so special - you will love having 2 (most days), you will love having one of each, we're so excited for you and can't believe it's so close already!

Like Amanda said it does happen! I don't know how either because I was so absolutely completely in love with Noah and thought there was no way I could love someone else the way I love him! You will be such a great mommy of two!!
